The Capital Club in Jackson was the venue for the Mississippi Minority Business Alliance’s Annual Luncheon on Thursday, December 8th at 11:30 a.m. The theme for the luncheon was “Mission Possible: Forming Partnerships between Minority Businesses, Communities, Corporations and Public Sector.”
The speaker for this occasion was Mr. Haley Fisackerly, President and CEO, Entergy Mississippi, Inc. He was introduced by Jean Jacobs MMBA Board Member and Director of Supplier Diversity for Entergy. Jacobs stated that “Mr. Fisackerly was a great advocate for supplier diversity at Entergy for the state of Mississippi.”
Mr. Fisackerly said he appreciates the partnership because MMBA is a venue that helps connect Entergy to diverse vendors and suppliers in the state and that the success of Entergy hinges on the success of the community it serves.
Shellie Michael, CEO of the MMBA was very pleased with the luncheon. She stated “that the primary mission of MMBA is to enhance opportunities for minority and women-owned businesses and that Mr. Fisackerly did a great job in emphasizing the commitment to the mission.”
Chairman of the Board, Michael Walker, commended the entire board for the overall success of the luncheon. Walker is Director of External Affairs, AT&T.
